I built All Sorted because I was a mess. Not in a dramatic way. Just in the quiet, exhausting way that most people are. Bills I forgot to pay. Work trips I never logged. A tax return that was always less than it should have been because I could not remember what I spent money on six months ago.
I had six different apps. A notes app for reminders. A spreadsheet for bills. A separate logbook for work trips. Another app for budgeting that I opened twice and abandoned. None of them talked to each other. None of them understood that all of this stuff is connected.
I did not need more apps. I needed one app that actually understood how life works.
The moment it clicked
I was doing my tax return. My accountant asked for my work trip logbook. I had it, kind of, in a notes app. Some trips were there. Most were not. I had rough numbers in my head. She looked at me and said, "You're probably missing thousands of dollars in deductions."
That was the moment. Not because of the money, though that stung. But because I realised I had been making my life harder than it needed to be, for years, because the tools I was using were not built for the way I actually live.
What I wanted to build
I wanted something that felt calm, not stressful. Something aesthetic enough that you actually want to open it. Something that understood that a work trip and a tax deduction are the same thing, and that paying a bill and flagging it for the ATO should be one tap, not a trip between three different apps.
I wanted a morning briefing at 7am that felt like a PA had already looked at your day. Bills due today. A note to keep you going. I wanted BPAY built right in so you never have to open your banking app just to pay a bill. I wanted to import a bill from an email by pasting the text, without re-typing a single number. I wanted to point my camera at a receipt and have AI read the store, amount, date and category automatically, then flag it as a work expense with a single Yes.
I wanted passwords that stay on your device only, encrypted by iOS, never uploaded anywhere. I wanted a grocery list that lives next to your to dos, not in a completely separate app. I wanted tasks that carry forward every day until you actually tick them off, because that is how real life works.
I wanted the Life tab to be genuinely useful. Your full calendar right at the top, with strip, week and month views. Invite a friend to an event without leaving the app. Health rings that sync automatically from Apple Health. Seven-day charts for water, steps and sleep.
I wanted automatic cloud backup so nothing is ever lost when you change phones or reinstall. Every 30 minutes, everything syncs silently to the cloud. And I wanted four colour themes because your phone is personal. Classic, Blush, Denim and Sage.
I wanted to build the app I had been looking for for years and could never find.
What ended up in it
Drive is the hero. Turn on Auto-Detect once and every work trip logs itself at $0.88 per km with a push notification when it starts and when it saves. The Team tab lets you invite your team by email. Each person logs their own trips and their kilometres flow back to you automatically.
AI scanning changed everything for receipts and bills. Point your camera at a receipt and AI reads the store name, amount, date and category. It even decides if it looks like a work expense and pre-ticks Yes for you. Same for bills: scan a bill and it fills in the biller name, amount, due date, BPAY biller code and reference number. No typing. No guessing.
Tax lives on your home screen as a widget showing your estimated refund, a progress bar and total deductions this year. Every scanned receipt marked Yes, every flagged bill, every kilometre driven feeds into one running total that updates live.
SAGE is the AI assistant built into the app. Tap ✦ anywhere and ask anything. How much tax could I get back. What bills are due. How many km this month. SAGE reads your real data and gives you specific answers about your actual finances, not generic advice.
Where we are now
All Sorted is launching soon on iOS. Drive with GPS auto-detection and background location tracking. AI receipt and bill scanning. Cloud backup every 30 minutes. Bills with BPAY and email import. The full calendar inside Life. Health with Apple Health sync. The customisable home screen with a live tax refund widget. All of it working.
The founding member waitlist is open now. People are tired of the chaos. They just want to be sorted.
If that sounds like you, I would love to have you in from the beginning.
